Kucera has complete in-house cadastral mapping capability, with a staff of experienced technicians dedicated to cadastral mapping and cadastral GIS base map creation.
Our staff is experienced in all aspects of cadastral conversion, ranging from straight CAD digitizing to full COGO assembly and topological GIS database creation.
Standardized procedures are used in the digital parcel compilation process for COGO data entry, placement of subdivisions and condominiums, and resolution of discrepancies. We have developed a number of batch processing routines to maximize our completion efficiency and quality, such as automated edge matching routines. The information is compiled with layers representing various types of cadastral map features (e.g. lot lines, easements, schools, districts) as it “fits” in direct “heads up” fashion on the computer screen to the best available base data, typically digital orthophoto imagery or digital planimetrics. The resultant product is a layered, seamless, georeferenced, digital cadastral database.
In addition to conventional property data, our digital cadastral database can include soils, flood insurance, wetlands, zoning, land use, political boundary, and other associated data sets. The digital database is provided along with hardcopy checkplots, final plots of the data and compiled reports (e.g., errata, acreages, exempt parcels) as needed by the client.
Our cadastral project planning phase support services include needs/cost-benefit analyses, existing procedure review, hardware/software recommendations, scheduling, and budget/implementation plans.
